Winter White

Hello my beautiful loves!
While we're days away from 2017, I am truly thankful for 2016.  I've learned so much in this year than any other.  Over the past weeks the thought dawned on me; that there is no reason for me to doubt anything that has happened or will happen in my life.  God has it all planned out in his perfect will for me.  With a Christmas morning message just confirming my contemplation, I am beyond grateful for all the beautiful lessons of 2016 and the people that taught me them.  Thank you all!

In older posts I've mentioned I'm not or wasn't into the 1920's fringe frenzy.  However, this feather like fringe skirt had me drooling when I laid eyes on it.  I waited a whole hour in line at the mall to purchase this beauty, and I have no regrets.  BCBGENERATION had a beautiful blazer feather-skirt dress which I didn't get my hands on.  So I recreated the look with this skirt and longline blazer.  It's not quite the same, but I love the uniqueness of the look.

Be confident, be inspired and shine on...

Hello my beautiful fashion lovers!
Birthday celebration 2016 was an awesome one.  Quiet day filled with a memorable evening.

Breakfast with my kiddos and husband was a delight.  Relaxed afternoon, prepping for an evening with my better half (well that's what I thought).  I was told to be dressed fancy and location was a secret.  Driving that evening down dark alleys and pothole roads with low gas (my husbands excuse for killimg time, oh I should've  known) only leading to an impeccable sight of the NYC scape.  Entering the venue was a real treat with Christmas decor flooding the lobby.  The elevator ride to the top of the building was an ear popping adventure.  Entering the diamond detail room took my breath away.  As the hostess led us to our seats, all I heard was screaming and lights flashing.  Almost thought Kim Kardashian came through the doors.  Only to find the few ladies closest to me, sitting in anticipation of my arrival.  I cried and laughed and was just shocked and overjoyed by the love; just thinking how they all went out of their way to celebrate with me.  They really thought I was aware of it, but I had no clue thanks to my hubby.  I spoke with each one of them earlier that day.  All of their schedules filled.  Little sissy and an interview that morning, one cousin had a root canal the other worked all day and even worked on my hair that day!  It was too good to be true.  I must say it was one of the best day of my life.  Thank you guys for being there and making me feel loved.  I love each and everyone of you and will never forget the evening you all planned for me.

I had an outfit sitting in my closet for months waiting to be worn for my special day.  However, I didn't see it fit for a celebration (there was no sparkle).  So I decided to go with this shining goodness.  I kind of over did it with my signature pose, but who cares?

Heartfelt gratitude and love to those who wished me a happy birthday via social media, text and calls.  I was blessed by each one.

Be confident, be inspired and shine one...

Velvet Loving

Hello Dolls!
During the colder holiday season, velvet is the material to rock.  It not only keeps you warm, but it has a rich luxurious look and feel.  The fabrics jewel tones has an amazing shine.

This was the week before Thanksgiving.  I actually made progress at the gym and good diet within  a week.  Then Thanksgiving day came and the inches packed back on.
On that note,  I am actually writing this post while waiting for my gym class to start.  Cheers to all the men and women trying their best to be fit and healthy.  I'm right behind yuh!

Be confident, be inspired and shine on...

Fashion Lovers!

I'm so thankful for everything that has went down this year. I quote, " I am thankful for all of it.  The highs. The lows. The blessings. The lessons.  The setbacks.  The comebacks. The love.  The hate.  EVERYTHING."
~By Selene of (Diary of a Housewife)~

When I created this forum, I set out to inspire women around the world and most importantly in my demographic.  After my last post though, I have learned that the people around the world will support, encourage and accept your imperfections.  But the ones in your demographic.  The ones you'd rather want to inspire.  The ones you'd rather love.  The ones you'd rather give the most to; are the ones that will tear you down.  They tear you down because they know the most about you or they think they know most about you.  They take your imperfections and mistakes and use it against you to make themselves feel better.
These kinds of people are the people that once  gave you the most encouragement.  They are the people that say they are with you and proud of your accomplishments.  They are also the people that wait for your downfall.  They wait in their little holes congratulating you on the outside but targeting you from the the inside.  They're the ones that say "people said", "I heard", "some lady said".  And when you eventually fall as they expected, they throw the biggest celebration.  They're on the phone trying to get information from South Africa to Queens, South America to the seven continents.  When they're blocked on all social platform, the only way to get at you is to use the most important forum that you have to speak atrocious things about you.  They label you, "stuck up bitch", "home wrecker", "garbage and trash", "fat ass".  But, you take all that hate, all that malice and all that judgement and LOVE them more.  Not all well wishers believe in you.  Sometimes it takes just you and God to help you believe in yourself.  For me, that's enough.

To the very grown up "Anonymous", blessings to you forever.  I do hope you continue to live a life without mistakes.

I finally had a chance to try out the restaurant STK here in NY!  I highly recommend it.  It's very modern and the food is mouth watering. My first time trying it was in Vegas and I loved it there too.

Rise above the hate...
Be confident, be inspired and smile through the pain.
