The Little Black Cape

Hello Dolls.  Hope everyone has had a beautiful week thus far.
Today's look includes a new twist on a staple piece we all must have in our wardrobe; the blazer.  Half of my closet is filled with blazers ranging in color, length, texture and pattern.  It's just one of those pieces that you can add to an outfit to give an instant chic and polished look.  The cape trend has made a huge hit for the past couple of years.  I first spotted the cape blazer on a woman at a fashion event.  I couldn't help but ask her where she got it.  Spending that night searching for the BCBG blazer, I had no luck!  It was all sold out or on ebay and amazon but not in my size.  Not mentioning the $200 price tag.

While fabric shopping one day I came across a wide variety of rich textured blazer material.  I immediately called up my seamstress and showed her the pattern of the blazer.  Although it took me quite a few fittings to get the perfect fit, it was definitely a masterpiece.

FYI, I'm like the cape girl gone wild.  Been obsessing over this trend lately.  I think I'll put the blame on Queen Elsa of the movie, "Frozen".  Would you dare to wear this trend?

Be Confident, be Inspired & ENJOY...

So while writing this blog post, I received an email saying the magazine which I was supposed to be featured in for May/June; the section I was a part of was not printed!  It is disappointing news, but I don't feel disappointed. It may or may not be printed but, I know there's a reason for everything.  I apologize to those who were filled with as much excitememt for me as I was.  When one door closes, another always opens.  Looking for bigger and greater opportunities.

Have a fashionably BLESSED week and
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.
