Red, Blue AND...

Last week I had the chance to meet the great June Ambrose.  She is a renowned celebrity stylist.  She has styled many celebrities from Jay-Z, to Missy Elliot, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and it does not stop there.  Hearing this woman speak was just the right empowerment I needed as a rising stylist.  The motivation and drive I walked out with was indescribable.  She is living proof that from nothing you can be something great!

Hope you all had a fun and safe Independence Day.
On to todays outfit....
I was supposed to post this outfit yesterday for the 4th of July, but I got carried away with the family.
This outfit was worn to church and it was kinda sorta in the color scheme of the 4th of July.  I wish I had worn white to really portray my patriotism :(

As of lately I've been breaking some of my rules; such as wearing a necklace with a belt.  Because a belt as well as a necklace are statement pieces, it can somewhat look "too much" (that is just my opinion).  I've been wanting a gold belt since forever and I really liked how it completed this outfit, thus the necklace and belt combo.
